These were really fun projects! And using my scraps up is an added benefit. I will definitely be making more projects from that book.
Here is another quilt started:
These blocks are on my design board so I can check the layout. In our quilt guild we have block lotto each month. What is block lotto? Each month the gal in charge picks a quilt block design and puts it in our newsletter along with the colors it should be done in and the finished size. Then we are welcome to make as many of these blocks as we want and bring them to the guild meeting. There we turn in our blocks and put our name in the hat- one for every block we brought (1 block= 1 name, 5 blocks=5 names) Then she draws a name out and that person wins ALL the blocks!!! If there are 20 or more blocks turned in, she divides them and 2 people win. It's a great way to try new blocks. And last time I won!!! I'm going to donate this when it's finished to one of our charities our guild sponsors- the veteran's hospital. We make lap quilts for them.
I'm still slowly machine quilting some quilts that are finished and a few other sewing projects for birthdays coming up.So what are you working on this weekend?
Have a good one!
Both look wonderul, Shawn. It must be so good to be part of a quilting group; extra inspiration and motivation?!
ReplyDeleteThe block lotto sounds like a lot of fun! And the color scheme is perfect for Veterans.
