Finished projects

Here are a couple of projects I finished this week- it feels good!

This is my June calendar quilt- doesn't it look summery?

This is the tote bag I made for my sister and this is the lining:

Thankful Thursday

Today, 32 years ago, I married the love of my life.

I am so thankful to the Lord for bringing me a wonderful husband and allowing me to have my dream of being a wife and mother. We've had our ups and downs, but through it all we knew we loved each other and that's forever :)

WIP Wednesday

Not a whole lot of progress this week- it's been so hot...kinda hard to focus in a sweaty studio :)

I'm working on a tote bag for my sister's birthday coming up. Here's a close up of the pocket fabric:

My other work in progress has been cutting out some different things to be working on and finishing up a few projects.

August goals

Here are my 3 goals for August:

1. finish my calendar quilt

I just need to sew the binding on and make a hanger for the back.

2. Work on the 1930's quilt top

                                        I can't remember how long this has been waiting...at least 3 :(                     

3.And I want to start on my grandson's quilt.

I need to get it made before he outgrows liking cars and trucks!

We'll see how I do on my goals this month. How about you?

WIP Wednesday

Here is my progress on the patriotic quilt:

Next I need to add borders. I like the way it's turning out. I was very surprised when I looked at this picture- I didn't realize that the blocks made a zigzag pattern. Cool!

This the other project in progress:

The binding is all ready for this quilt once I get the quilting finished. I try to quilt a little every day and it's really hard for me to stop after 10 min! PT is helping, but it is very slow...

Thankfully the weather has cooled a bit, so working in my sewing studio is more enjoyable.
